***WARNING***Old LED Technology***WARNING***WEAK LED*** Dec 25, 2009 ***WARNING***Old LED Technology***WARNING***Non-Beaming LED, unlike the new SMD LED bulbs*** This is an ineffective light bulb and more of accent lighting.
Although from the looks of the light bulb, it seems as though this might be an effective light bulb, this technology is zone bright near the bulb and do not emit throughout the room. The only thing I like about this bulb is that it looks cool like a future light bulb or something. These are BLUE-WHITE ACCENT BULBS at best.
I cannot believe $30 is asked for these bulbs. The returns and/or satisfaction on these must be high I'm assuming. I had to salvage my purchases lately.
LEARN from my mistake of my mispurchase of these. I've already spent over $150 in errors and it's more of hassle for me to return these. Some of the 5W LED bulbs are supposed to replace 50 or 60 Watts. I would estimate more close to 20 to 25Watts. Considering, my intention was to replace my CFL's, Not Incandescents, I rather keep my CFL's especially at these prices. The newer SMD LED surface mount with the flat surface, rather than the plastic overlay are supposed to be the best LED's so far as I've come to find out. 5000K temperature versions are supposed to be similar to the daylight fluorescent bar lighting and 6500K temperature lighting gets close to bluish.

An Expensive Nightlight Feb 02, 2008 I was very disapointed in how much light this bulb puts out. For $30, I was expecting more. It does produce a very non-directional light, and it is whiter than most LED's (I actually prefer the typical light blue). For now, I think I will have to stick to the compact flourescents.
